Green Note is a multiple award-winning live music venue and vegetarian café-bar, located in Camden Town, London (less than 5 mins walk from Camden Town tube station). The Venue is a unique, intimate, independent venue with a cosy vibe and friendly atmosphere. Founded in 2005 by two music-loving friends, the Green Note has become known as one of London’s top spots for folk and roots music, hosting gigs every night ranging from folk, Americana, country and bluegrass, to blues, roots, world, jazz and singer-songwriters. We welcome both local and touring acts, and over the years they have hosted the likes of Anais Michell, Michael Kiwanuka, Allison Russell, Jacob Collier, Ed Sheeran, The Magic Numbers, Amy Winehouse… and even the late Leonard Cohen.

From The Nightingales new studio album 'The Awful Truth' a modern mutant music hall interpretation of the day’s news, a haunting jolt into realism narrated with all the angst of an insistent, slightly dishevelled late-night newscaster. 'Same Old Riff’ recalls Bowie’s ‘Queen Bitch’ rekindling the class war struggles and throwing sharp focus on the national unrest in the summer of 2024.
Released alongside a brand new music video, ‘Same Old Riff’ is directed by Rob Curry (The Chills: The Triumph & The Tragedy Of Martin Phillipps, The Ballad Of Shirley Collins) and is a Situationist call to action inspired by the upheavals of Paris '68.

Seth Faergolzia, the Rochester, New York-based avant-folk visionary, is set to traverse Europe in 2025, bringing his singular blend of tender acoustic intimacy and frenetic vocal loop sorcery to stages across the continent. Known for his fearless reinvention of folk traditions through projects like Dufus, Multibird, and Forest Creature, Faergolzia remains a cult icon whose work defies categorization, drawing comparisons to Captain Beefheart and Frank Zappa for its audacious originality. This tour promises to showcase a softer, more introspective side of his artistry, juxtaposed with the electrifying chaos of his signature vocal loop station performances.

This inspiring event is part of the Refugee Week schedule and in collaboration with the amazing @therefugeebuddyproject.
